<\/a><\/p>\nIn 1980, Burris<\/a> became the first U.S. based optics company to offer a multi-coated lens. Prior to 1980, multi-coated lenses were only available on expensive European rifle scopes.<\/p>\n At the time of this writing, Burris Optics was one of a select few optic companies that produced most all of their scopes entirely in the U.S. Some of their more economical models (such as the Fullfield II) has lenses that are produced in the Phillipines, but the scopes themselves are constructed in the U.S.<\/p>\n Burris offers a number of excellent optical products including rifle scopes, pistol scopes, spotting scopes, and binoculars.
