The Nikon Buckmasters series is basically the next series under the Monarch. It has a number of the same features, but is a little bit less expensive. The Buckmaster comes in 7 configurations, while the Monarch is available in 9 configurations. Like the Monarch series, the Buckmaster also features traditional and side focus models. The biggest difference between the two models is the lens itself. While the Monarch lens transmits about 98% light, the Buckmaster is about 93%. Even at 93%, it’s still an outstanding scope for the money. It works extremely well in low light conditions.
The Buckmaster configurations cover just about every type of hunting or shooting that you might want to do including varmint hunting and rimfire shooting.
